FOOD: Aozora Japanese Restaurant, Tagaytay

We are always on the quest of trying out Japanese restaurants. On May 19, 2019 (Sunday), we were in Tagaytay to dine at Aozora Japanese Restaurant. I believe they have three branches (as of writing) in Tagaytay alone and the one we ate at is near Picnic Grove.

Complete address:
Purok 157, Tagaytay-Calamba Main Road, Sungay East, Tagaytay (in front of Southridge village).

We arrived there at lunch time and the place is packed. Fortunately, they have an extension dining area, which we had to ourselves!

We ordered Mixed Sashimi (left to right: salmon, uni, tuna, tamago, kani, shime saba, tako) on lettuce beddings for PhP550 and a bowl of Sushi Rice for PhP150
Shoyu Ramen (soy sauce based) for PhP280

and Negima Yakitori (chicken yakitori)

The service is great and the waiters asked us a couple of times if we needed anything, and they are always doing rounds refilling our glass with water.

So... we came back the next day and ordered another Mixed Sashimi (this time it was served on radish beddings) & Sushi Rice
and Mixed Sushi (left to right: tuna, salmon, tako, shime saba, kani, tamago, tekka maki, uni) for PhP550. Oh YES! We love raw fish!

Here's our happy faces while enjoying our sumptuous meal! Photo taken on day 1.

I highly recommend Aozora and I'm glad I was able to taste my favorite uni once again!
If you're interested to see their menu, you can find it on their Facebook page.

How to go there:
From SM Calamba Terminal, ride a van to Tagaytay Market PhP70/person then from Tagaytay Market, ride a tricycle to Aozora (Tagaytay-Calamba Rd, Sungay East) PhP40/ride. Aozora is across Southridge Village, right after One Tagaytay Place.
